SSC CGL Exam Mock test

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is an organisation which works under Government of India. The main responsibility of the commission is to recruit staff for various posts in the various Ministries and Departments of the Government of India. The Staff Selection Commission was established on 4th November 1975 and has its headquarters at New Delhi, India. It conducts various exams like CGL, CHSL, Steno ‘C’ & ‘D’, JE, CAPF, GD-Constable, JHT and other Departmental exams.

SSC conducts Combined Graduate Level (CGL) exam every year and recruits the skilled candidates on various govt jobs. This year the Staff Selection Commission has made slight changes in the SSC CGL New Exam Syllabus Pattern 2016. Recently the SSC has released a notification of newly changed SSC CGL Online Test 2016.   • SSC has commenced that from this year the SSC CGL Exam will be conducted in 4 Tiers.
  • Tier-I and Tier-II will be computer-based exam instead of marking on OMR sheet.
  • Tier-III will be descriptive and Tier-IV will be skill test/document verification.
  • Candidates are remembered that Tier-I exam will be treated as a qualifying exam.

Tier – II Written Examination (Objective Multiple Choice type)
Tier – III Pen and paper Test (Descriptive paper in English/Hindi (Writing of Essay/ Precis/Letter/Application Writing Etc.))
Tier-IV Skill Test (wherever applicable)/ Document Verification

For Tier-II, candidates have to attempt Paper-I and Paper-II compulsory for all the categories of the posts. Paper-III is only for those who applied for the post of Statistical Investigator Gr.II & Compiler and Paper-IV is for the candidates who applied for Assistant Audit officer.   • Tier-I exam paper consists of questions on General Intelligence, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English Comprehension. Each section contains 25 questions and carries 50 marks. The Tier-I exam is conducted for total 200 marks. There will be negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer.
  • Tier-II will conduct on Quantitative Abilities for 200 marks and English language & Comprehension for 200 marks and time duration is 2 hours.
  • Tier-III is descriptive paper in English/Hindi (writing of Essay/Precis/Letter/Application writing etc). This test is conducted for 100 marks with 1hr time duration.
  • Tier-IV is data entry test or skill test (wherever applicable) and document verification.
