SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam Pattern

  • The Tier-I Exam will comprise of four parts namely General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English Comprehension.
  • Every section will comprise 25 questions of 50 marks.
  • The total marks of the paper will be of 200 marks. Each question will carry 2 marks.
  • The duration of the exam will be 60 minutes.

SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam Pattern

  • SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam comprises four papers in total.
  • Of these four papers, two papers i.e. Paper-I and Paper-II is compulsory for all the candidates.
  • The duration of exam is two hours only.
  • Paper-I will be on Quantitative Ability carrying 100 Questions of 200 marks.
  • Each question would carry two marks.
  • There will be deduction of mark and 0.50 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
  • Paper-II will be on English Language and Comprehension carrying 200 Questions of 200 Marks. Each question would carry one mark. 0.25 marks would be deducted for each wrong answer.
  • Paper-III will be on Statistics comprising 100 Questions of 200 marks.
  • Each question would carry two marks. 0.50 marks would be deducted for each wrong answer.
  • Paper-IV comprise of two parts i.e., Finance and Accounts for which there will be 40 questions carrying 80 marks and Economics and Governance will have 60 questions carrying 120 marks.
  • In all there will be 100 questions carrying 200 Marks with each question carrying two marks. 0.50 marks would be deducted for each wrong answer.

SSC CGL Tier 3 Exam Pattern

  • SSC CGL Tier 3 Exam is a Descriptive Type paper.
  • The total marks of exam is 100 marks and will be conducted in Pen and Paper mode
  • The duration of exam is 1 hour.
  • The Paper will comprise writing of an Essay / Passage of 250 words and Letter / Application Writing of approximately 150 words.
  • The qualifying marks in Tier-III would be 33 per cent.
  • The paper will have to be written either in Hindi or in English. Part paper written in Hindi and Part in English will not be evaluated.

SSC CGL Tier IV Exam Pattern

  • The SSC CGL Tier IV Exam is Data Entry Skill Test (DEST) /Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) and it will be qualifying in nature.
  • The DEST is conducted for the post of Tax Assistants whereas CPT is for the post of Assistant Section Officer of CSS.
  • The DEST/CPT will be conducted online
  • Candidates in Data Entry Speed Test (DEST) will type at 8,000 (eight thousand) Key Depression per hour.
  • The Data Entry Speed Skill Test at 2000 (two thousand) key depressions will be conducted for a duration of 15 minutes.
